The Knit-Stop is a community project originally funded by
The People's Health Trust through The Health Lottery, however in 2016 we were awarded a grant from the Big Lottery Fund to continue the programme and expand The Knit-Stop to more areas in Exeter.
We are very grateful to The Big Lottery Fund for their generous contributions to our project.
But now we're dependent on sales from our community fibre arts space, Wool on the Exe, to keep The Knit-Stop going in it's current form and we need to ask participants for a small donation (£5) to help pay for materials. Our goal is to be self-sufficient very soon so that we can provide this programme to everyone who wants to participate regardless of income.
The last year and a half have been very difficult on all levels. But we hope to continue in our mission to bring fun, friends and new skills to everyone who wants to learn how to knit!
